What is a Solar Energy System?
A solar energy system is a system composed of photovoltaic (PV) panels that directly convert sunlight into electrical energy, along with components that prepare this energy for use. The basic working principle is based on photons hitting semiconductor materials, creating electron movement, and thereby generating DC (direct current) electricity.
